Episode 4: Being in Process: Honouring the Messy Middle
In the first three episodes of Curious by Nature, I explored some of the ways our sense of self can be shaped, and what can happen when we begin to question old ideas about who we are so that we can make space for who we are becoming.
In this episode, I wanted to explore what it actually means to be ‘in process’, particularly when we’re stretching ourselves, making changes or moving into unfamiliar territory.
I wonder out loud about the messy middle, that space between where we are and where we’re hoping, or perhaps expecting, ourselves to be, especially when change doesn’t happen as quickly, or quite as we imagined.
We’ll explore self-doubt, fear, beginnerhood, the different speeds at which parts of us change, and what it might mean to meet ourselves with a little more humility and care while we’re there.
