Beat the bloat and add a zing to your step with this cleansing, refreshing and detoxifying green juice.




I have been welcoming in the new year with this little green beauty.


After a little Christmas excess and lack of movement nothing beats the feeling of sipping on a glass of goodness.


With this juice you can literally feel it too. It has a zing to it thanks to the lime as well a warmth and freshness. I find it really refreshing and energising.


Juices are a great way to start the day and some of the main benefits of juicing are:


You can take in the nutrients in high concentrations
The nutrients are in a highly absorbable form
You can consume far more nutrients in one sitting

In this juice we have some super powerhouses and ones which you may not normally juice with but that's the great thing with juices, there are no rules. Well maybe one, add lots of veg!


In this juice I have included ginger, parsley and fennel to help with digestion and bloating. Kale also contains Chlorophylls which helps to cleanse and detoxify the liver. Add to this, it is full of fiber, Vitamin C and Vitamin K (essential for bone health) and IS packed full of anti-oxidants.

Balancing Green Juice


Serves 2 preparation time 5 minutes


Ingredients

2 apples

40g of kale

10g flat leaf parsley

10g fennel

15g ginger

Juice of ½ lime


Method


1. Wash all produce, chop all ingredients except the lime into appropriate pieces and put through your juicer

2. Squeeze the lime into your finished juice, stir and enjoy

3. This juice is best consumed immediately
