A seasonal yoga practice for steadiness, nourishment, and inner calm
Seasonal Yoga teaches us that our energy, moods, and needs shift throughout the year. Just as nature moves through cycles of growth, blooming, harvesting and rest, so do we.
Each season carries its own element and energetic qualities, and when we pay attention to these rhythms, our practice becomes less about striving and more about remembering our natural pace.
In Seasonal Yoga, the Earth Element is most alive during late summer (the time between high summer and the beginning of autumn). It’s a season of ripening, gathering, nourishment and returning to centre.
The Earth Element invites us to ground, to slow down, to digest not just food but life — experiences, change, emotion, transitions.
But grounding is not only a late summer need. It is something we return to again and again, especially when life feels fast, scattered, or unsteady.
Which is why this practice can be done anytime of year. Whenever you feel the need to return to center.
🧡 About the Practice
In this Earth Element practice, we begin with a guided tapping sequence to soften worry and settle the mind.
We then move into grounding qigong and some yoga, cultivating trust and stability in the body and breath.
Towards the end, we use acupressure points (Stomach 36 and Spleen 6) to anchor and harmonise the body’s energy, before closing with a restorative rest and simple balancing practice.
This class is especially supportive if you have been feeling:
scattered
anxious
overwhelmed
or simply a little “up in the head”
It is a practice to restore steadiness, nourishment, and inner ease.

Please honour your body and move with awareness.
Not all movements are suitable for all bodies, so feel free to adapt, pause, or simply breathe when needed.
