Service Description

This offering includes replay access until the Spring Equinox, allowing you to participate and practice at your convenience if you are unable to attend live. Winter is not the time to push. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, winter is governed by the Water element, a season of conservation, restoration, and returning to the root. Energy draws inward, and vital reserves are protected. Yet culturally, winter, especially January, is often treated as a time to accelerate: to “start strong,” and override fatigue with willpower. But true vitality doesn’t come from effort alone. Clarity, motivation, emotional steadiness, and creativity emerge when the body feels safe, rested, and resourced. When our nervous system is regulated, we can access these deeper reserves. Rested & Rooted is an invitation to tend to yourself in alignment with the season, not as a luxury, but as essential winter medicine. What this container offers This four-week, live series supports deep rest, nervous system regulation, & replenishment of your internal reserves. Across January, we’ll create space for your system to soften and reset — layer by layer. This is not passive rest but rather rest that restores your capacity to meet life with steadiness and resiliency. Each class offers practices that support the parasympathetic nervous system, helping your body shift from chronic alertness into repair and restoration. What we’ll practice together Each 75-minute session blends intentional practices to support body, mind, and nervous system: Gentle, floor-based movement — release tension and invite ease Breathwork — downshift the nervous system and support regulation Vagus nerve–supportive practices — help the system feel calmer, safer, and more settled Mudras & self-acupressure — release stagnation, anchor intention, and support energetic flow Self-massage — soothe the body and support sensory regulation Guided Yoga Nidra — a deeply restorative practice to integrate the work of each session If your body is asking for this kind of winter tending, I’d love to welcome you.
